Title: A review of the durability of glass fibre reinforced
                        plastic reinforcements
             Publisher: Transport Research Laboratory, 1994
  Physical description: 15p., charts
                 Price: Unpriced
                Series: Project Report
Notes - general: The report reviews data available from both laboratory
and field trials relating to the durability of glass
fibre reinforced plastic straps ('Fibretain') used for
reinforced earth applications. The findings are
compared to the recommendations given in the British
board of Agrement Roads and Bridges Certificate No.
83/25 (This certificate lapsed during the course of
this investigation). The data shows that there is no
immediate cause for concern for the intergrity of
'Fibretain' straps in existing reinforceed earth
structures: they broadly confirm the recommendations
in the BBA certificate and could be used to support a
                        claim fro re-approval.
