       Notes - general: Asphapol 2000 is a binder modifier that has been in
                        use for about a decade.  An assessment of the research
                        carried out on the material, including an examination
                        of several sites where it has been laid, has shown
                        that there are no apparent problems with its use and
                        that the surfacings are durable.  However, there is
                        insufficient data to quantify the advantages of using
                        it.
