       Notes - general: The paper describes tests on two concrete beams,
                        prestressed with parallel-lay aramid ropes. one beam
                        had a lehgth of 5m, with am i-beam section, and was
                        stressed with a single, straight, unbonded tendon in a
                        duct on the centreline.  The other beam had a length
                        of 8m, with two external deflected tendons; this beam
                        had a small bottom flange and was more representative
                        of practical sections.
